Today, i'll introduce one of my fav game, OSU!
what is OSU! ??
-this is a freeware rhythm game, develop by Dean Herbert.
This game is really fun for me, especially when you good at it. This game is skinable, it's made this game more fun to be played. To play this game, you at least must have an account, why? because you will need it to download the beatmaps (the songs), and to give you pp(performance point) each you pass a beatmap. The pp that is given to u is according to how good you play it, and how hard is the beatmaps. Be good each game, and gain a lot of pp to be came the top player guys, but, to gain a lot of pp it wouldn't be easy, because you miss avoid to miss a rhythm, sum it, to achieve it, you must get the full combo. But, getting the full combo isn't enough, you must have a good accuracy. what is it? accuracy means how good your timing when you hit a rhythm, when you hit it before the time, it give you miss, (when you get miss, your HP will drain according to the songs level). It give you 50 if you hit it, hmm.., hard to explain this ._. , same as when you get 100, but if you hit it perfectly on it time, it will give you 300. So, beside getting the full combo, you must have a good accuracy to, good accuracy is above 97%-100%(it means that every rhythm that you hit is perfectly hit on the time). BTW, In the game, you can play in 4 different mode, each mode has its own pp,
1st, is osu! mania, this mode is similar with guitar hero. But, osu! take it into a hole new level of it, if u ever play guitar hero before, then u might like this mode. You guys can choose to play with how many keys did u want, there's 1k until 10k.
2nd, is Catch The Beat (CTB), this mode is simple, you just need to catch every fruits(if you use the default skin), don't miss one of it, or it will have an impact to your pp. When comes the bananas, just catch them as much as you can, we can say that the bananas was the bonus stage
3rd, Taiko, well, in this mode, you will play with a drum, just hit when the rhythm is getting close
4th, this is my favorite mode :D (and also the hardest one, i think? is you guys ), "osu!" it self, all players commonly call it osu!std (standard). on this mode, you must aim the cursor to the circles, and hit it at the time, sounds easy, but this is hard :/ , in 1 second, it can be there's 3-4 circles. Stream (is a bunch of circles made a line, commonly the range between circles is really close) is hard, isn't hard as well if the stream is in common range and much, its get really hard when the range is so far (we call it space stream) and there's so much circles so it would take a lot of energy to follow it. Jump, is a range between a circle to the others circle in some range of time, is easy if the jump isn't to far, its become hard and so deadly when the range is so far, beside that we must fast moving or cursor, we must aim in correctly the the circle, or we will miss it, there's a lot of type of jump, i will explain it on next post. So, that's made osu!std hard. But, because of its difficult, this mode is so popular
BTW, i forget to say this, there's mods features that allow you to increase or reduce the difficulty of the beatmaps that you want to play, if you choose increase, you will gain extra scores, if you choose reduce, your scores will be reduced. I will explain it on next post
